Maybe "Dad" Will Show A Little Love

I was watching a group of deer recently when a fawn wanted to nurse from his mother...

Either she was weaning the fawn, or just not in the mood to nurse, but she refused his attempt.  He continued to follow her while looking rejected...

Next, he approached a respectable eight point buck that could have been his father...

Usually I would expect the buck to ignore the fawn, but in this case he seemed receptive to the little guy...

Even tolerating an invitation to "butt heads" or play fight...

Thanks for visiting the blog, stay well, and come back soon.
