Getting Ready For Hibernation


Groundhogs spend 3-5 months in hibernation each winter.  I recently came across this one as it was gathering dry leaves for its nest and taking them to its den…


It made several trips to gather leaves while I watched…



Then it rested, with a satisfied look, at the entrance…
