Spike Bucks In Velvet

Spike bucks, like those in the following photos, are normally growing their first set of antlers.  Typically they will be about 18 months old and likely to develop forked antlers by the next autumn...




The little buck in the next two photos is so small I believe he may be this years fawn.  He was staying close to a doe that may have been his mother...
