Northern Flicker Fledgling

On this date in 2014 we found a Northern Flicker fledgling in Grand Teton National Park...

No adults brought food while we were watching so the young one used its retractable tongue to pick off any insects that came within range...

Grand Teton rarely disappoints whether one is seeking fabulous scenery or wildlife...

Thanks for visiting, be well, and come back soon.
