SIGMA 150-600mm CONTEMPORARY with 1.4 x TELECONVERTER

 I recently took these photos using the Sigma 150-600 Contemporary zoom lens with the 1.4x teleconverter...


I have owned 1.4x and 2x teleconverters for many years' but with earlier cameras and lenses I did not feel that the images I obtained were worth the trouble of utilizing them.

Technology has improved both camera and lens capabilities, so I mounted the lens and teleconverter on my Nikon D500 for these images...


Here is the exposure data for this set of images for those who are interested...

So far, I have been happy with the results of this optical configuration...





Wildlife photographers are always wishing for more "reach" to capture images of distant subjects. The Sigma Contemporary zoom lens makes that possible without requiring the enormous cash outlay that a 600mm prime lens would require,
