Catfish, It's What's For Dinner

Small streams may offer big rewards to those who are patient.  This great blue heron, bent on finding a meal, is one example...







The hungry bird quickly zoomed in on the hapless catfish...



The size of the fish meant the heron had to dip it into the water several times to prepare it for swallowing...





Finally, the bird deftly positioned the fish for a head-first descent...



And down it went...
