BIRDS, DEER AND BEAVER

This week provided a variety of photo opportunities including this juvenile red-shouldered hawk...

A female yellow-bellied sapsucker...

This male downy woodpecker...

A white-throated sparrow bathing...

Domestic duck at sunrise...

Same duck, different day...

A northern harrier swooping on prey...

A belted kingfisher...

A beaver storing food for the winter...

The Monocacy Battlefield provided some deer...

The next photo is to demonstrate how much a deer can grow in one year.  The buck is probably 18 months old, the fawn was born this year...

A fight is brewing...

Thanks for visiting, be well and come back soon.
