Sandpiper on April 25, 2011...

I have studied my bird books intently but I can't positively identify this sandpiper.  Note the distinctive white eye ring, which should aid in identification.  Another hint is that it was smaller than a robin.  If you know what it is please leave a comment.  Oh, by the way, my best guess is "Solitary Sandpiper".  Really, that is the name of a species.  Who could make that up?

NEWS FLASH:  After reviewing the photographs, and my bird books, again I now think it could be a Lesser Yellowlegs.  Do any viewers have an opinion to share?

The day also produced this Rusty Blackbird...
