This eastern fox squirrel stopped in just the right spot for a dramatic portrait...
It may have thought it was hidden when it flipped its tail forward and over its head...
A northern flicker was the next subject to stop by...
I am always alert to the sound of crows making a ruckus. In our area it often means they are tormenting a hawk or owl....
This was my lucky day because they were harassing a great horned owl family...
I was surprised when I spotted a third owl...
I am guessing that this was a mated pair and their young one that has not struck out on its own yet...
Whatever the circumstances, I was glad to have seen three of these gorgeous birds together.
