Second Blog Update Since Return from Rockies

This eastern fox squirrel stopped in just the right spot    for a dramatic portrait...

It may have thought it was hidden when it flipped its tail forward and over its head...

A northern flicker was the next subject to stop by...

I am always alert to the sound of crows making a ruckus. In our area it often means they are tormenting a hawk or owl....

This was my lucky day because they were harassing a great horned owl family...

I have photographed two owls together before...

I was surprised when I spotted a third owl...

I am guessing that this was a mated pair and their young one that has not struck out on its own yet...

Whatever the circumstances, I was glad to have seen three of these gorgeous birds together.

Thanks for visiting, be well and come back soon.
