FOX FAMILY AT COLTER BAY


Every year there is a fox family in the Colter Bay campground. Their antics amuse the campers and attract large numbers of photographers...








An unfortunate development affected the fox family this year...


In the early spring a photographer used food to lure the male fox closer...


This caused him to associate humans with food and he began approaching people. The park service felt that a dangerous situation was developing so they euthanized the fox...


This left the female to find enough food for herself, and the kits, alone. Please do not feed ANY wildlife in the parks...





At the time of our visit, the vixen appeared to be doing well providing for her family...


Even when her presence was not evident, I always felt that she was nearby, watching over her kits from the shadows...

    Some people will never get it and just do what they want regardless of the consequences. Poor animals have to pay for what idiots do. Anyway Great pics
