Ruby-Crowned Kinglet

I came across this charming little bird while watching a local stream for mink and muskrats.  It is a Ruby-Crowned Kinglet, about the size of a small sparrow.  Maryland is part of its' northern winter range...



I hope to see more of them in the future.

  2. Thank you. In my case, I often overlook some of the smaller birds thinking they are sparrows. I try to pay closer attention to spot the unusual ones at this time of year.
