Otter tracks, Beaver, Muskrat, Hawk, and other interesting sightings...

Despite several attempts to get more photos of the river otter in my last post, the best I could do was these footprints in the mud...



I did get to see several muskrats and a beaver in the same vicinity as the otter...



And an Eastern Bluebird perched briefly on a stump at first light...


On the way home a pair of Red Shouldered Hawks were spotted building a nest...


And two mallards and a canada goose were located along a small tributary of the Monocacy River...

  1. The red shouldered hawk was a good/lucky find. There should be some good activity there this season. Time will tell.
