Transition Time in the Mountains

The month of June seems to be the “transition” time for most of the animals in the Rocky Mountains. They shed their heavy winter coats and tend to look mangy for a time as their new coat grows in. Almost all of these photos were taken in June and represent the end of winter and the coming of warmer weather.
