Weekly Update Posted April 19, 2010

First of all, I need to thank my former co-worker Lorraine, for her assistance identifying this female Redwing Blackbird photographed  at the Lilypons Water Gardens.
I found her to be stunningly beautiful as she moved from one cattail stalk to another.
Here is another pose of the same bird...

The Lilypons also held these Snipe.  They are flighty little things and difficult to photograph well...


There were also Killdeer in the gravel parking area...I hope their nest is not destroyed by motorist...


On Greenfield Road I spotted this Red Fox not far from the road...


I also found this hen Wild Turkey on Greenfield Road...

On Park Mills Road I encountered this Eastern Box Turtle...

I saw yet another Red Fox on Ed Sears Road...

After acting bashful he finally leaped upon a log and showed no camera fright...

Finally, we have a pair of Eastern Blue Birds that have taken residence in our yard.  They are always a delight to watch and photograph...
