NEMESIS NO LONGER

Finding a northern flicker in decent light, that was willing to cooperate, has long been an elusive quest. Today my persistence was rewarded...

The next photo could be captioned "me and my shadow"...

A few days ago I found this pileated woodpecker chipping away at an already well pecked tree...

Golden-crowned kinglets are tiny things that rarely hold still for photographs...

This crow is feasting on a road killed deer...

A great blue heron stalks prey...

This sleepy domestic duck didn't even open an eye...

A red-tailed hawk keeps an eye on the ground, watching for prey...

The recent spell of cold weather must have motivated this beaver to add some weeds to his underground nest...

I hope you have a warm "nest" for the winter, too.

Thanks for visiting, be well and come back soon.
