Scratching For A Meal...

Having corn fields nearby can be an advantage for photographers, especially in winter, when other food sources are covered with snow.  I found these gobblers in February while they were scratching for corn in a field that had already been harvested...

In the enthusiasm to peck kernels from the corn cobs, sometimes the corn went flying...

I know the farmers don't intentionally leave part of their crop in the field, but I am certain the turkeys and other wildlife appreciate it...

Thanks for visiting and stop back soon.

  1. HI!
    Great Pictures of the gobblers.
Hope you have spring soon and they can find food easy.
