Wide variety of birds in the past few days...

I have had lots of different bird sightings recently. I hope that some of them will be new to you and encourage you to be on the lookout for new species.  The next eight species were taken at the Lilypons Water Gardens…
A male Brown-headed Cowbird…

A Great Egret…

A female Red-winged Blackbird on a cattail plant…

A male Red-winged Blackbird chasing an Osprey…

The Osprey looking for dinner…

An Eastern Kingbird…

A Gray Catbird…

A male Goldfinch…

From the variety seen in just a short visit I guess you can tell why the Lilypons is so popular with birders.

This young buck played peek-a-boo on Carroll Boyer Road…

This doe drinks deeply from Catoctin Creek…

These two were photographed at the Monocacy Battlefield National Park...

These final four photos were taken in our yard…

A Luna Moth resting on the garage door…

A Crow flies overhead with a new stick for it’s nest…

An Eastern Bluebird pursues an insect...

And a thirsty cat drinks from the swimming pool…
