Deer, deer and more deer...

Rutting activity must be nearing it's peak.  I took all of these photos this afternoon...

  1. Here in Iowa, the only deer I've seen in the past two weeks is counted only as road kill. Drove 60 miles today to the big city and back and saw half a dozen dead by the roadside. Iowa DNR says the deer population is down this year and last . . . but you can't prove that by me and the "downed" that I record.

  2. Seeing them laying on the side of the road is a common occurence around here as well. We have way too many deer crowded into too little space and lots of motorists zipping to work and home right at the peak deer movement hours.
